What would make your night better in the way of a drink or a cyber-smile/communication?

ChopperPilot asked the question:

I have been away, so I am drinking old wine that I would have rathered save, but I missed my local liquor store weekly delvery day.

I guess I’ll have to hope the neighbors invite me to over in a few hours tohave someone to drink Tequila and Vodka with. I have lots of large bottles of Patron and Grey Goose in my liquior/bar area, but I never open them for me.

How about any of you out there?

Which is the best restaurant in LA?

discoganya asked the question:

I’m going to be there for a weekend trip. Which restaurant would you recommend?

Any (absolutely any) cuisine is OK, except seafood and steak. Moderately priced (<$100 for two). Wine or full Bar is a plus. Star spotting also a plus! 50 mile radius from downtown, suburbs OK.
thanks

Which state has the worst liquor laws?

splath63 asked the question:

I vote for PA, because you can’t get six-packs anywhere but a bar (beverage stores only sell cases - and yeah, you have to go to a different store for wine and spirits). And all PA stores are controlled by gov’t so there’s no competition, no lower prices. You’d think that a state that just legalized gambling would be more lax in their liquor laws. Oh, and they just recently let liquor stores be open on sunday afternoons.

Would you come to this restaurant?

fuqaree asked the question:

I havent worked out all the details yet but…
A cafe / bakery / deli type of place with many simple, yet fresh, tasty and unique menu items. Many vegetarian options and a few meals with meat in them because I know some people gotta have it with every meal. (((but nothing that is fried!!! ew!))) There will also be baked goods, coffees, tea and salads. There will also be a wine bar and a few great beers to choose from. Atmosphere is very laid back, with some tables low to the ground with pillows and such, and some regular booths and tables. A corner of the restaurant will have a sunken in floor with some toys and kids tables with a little gate around it. Nothing too crazy though. The will be made to make you feel like you are outside, with murals of forests and stuff on the walls and stars and sky painted on the ceiling.

What do you think? Any ideas for improvement? If you would come, why? If not, why not? Thanks!
perhaps i didnt explain it right. people are not going to be DRUNK lol. but i have kids and it ALWAYS drives me nuts going out to eat b/c all they wanna do is run around. and yes, the decorations are busy and maybe you would have to see them inside my head to really get it. its more of like a chill place to hang out… but with food and drink.

What kind of alcohol makes a good birthday present?

Rattler asked the question:

I don’t know if alcohol is a good birthday present but I don’t know what else I can get my brother in law. I don’t think he’s all that picky, but he has his own bar in the house and I know he drinks everything from wine to hard liquor.

How do I avoid wedding stress over our different families?

Mrs. RJRG asked the question:

My fiance and I are non drinkers by choice (we are not recovering alcoholics). I am very worried about the reception. My family is conservative and traditional. His family is not.

I’ve been to a couple weddings for pepople on his side of the family and they like to drink and party like teenagers. I’ve gone so far to concider a ‘dry’ wedding.

However I am leaning more towards:
no bar, just two bottles of wine per table and a glass of champange for toasting.

Any thoughts? Anyone been through this? The thought just makes me cringe!

Please suggest a unique, easy to remember & very attractive name for an international fusion restaurant & bar!

lifoc asked the question:

Targeted more towards the young generation, i’d like to have a VERY cool, stylish and a very catchy name for the restaurant-bar-club. It’s like a wine n dine n party n dance place, where the food is fusion of international cuisines …

plz suggest me the most creative possible :)
thanks so much!
the name “Fusion” is registered already, so i need to choose something else.

Also may be some hip word with the letter “A” might be good so that alphabetically it will be listed first ;-)

Does anyone know of a really nice sit down family restaurant in the Troy, Michigan area?

JohnAnn2 asked the question:

I have family coming in from out of town and would like to take them to a nice restaurant for dinner.
They older teenage children so I’m looking for a family restaurant that is not also a bar like where most of the customers are singles looking for a pick up.
It’s okay if they serve beer & wine, etc. just not one that has a big bar as the main focus.
Any ideas?

I would just cook a nice meal for them, but am handicapped and unable to.

I am trying to find a location in bridgeport, connecticut to open up a bar/cafe and hear that it can take a long time to get a liquor/beer/wine license, so I wanted to start the process so that it would pretty much fall hand in hand.

To help people save money in a tight economy, should cities set up bars in parks where you can bring your own?

victorschool1 asked the question:

beer and wine and just sit down on the park stool at the park bar and drink (instead of going to a bar). Buying your own drinks at a liquor store is cheaper than buying it a regular bar, and in the park you can sit with others and drink (and smoke since it is outside).
