Would you come to this restaurant?
fuqaree asked the question:
I havent worked out all the details yet but…
A cafe / bakery / deli type of place with many simple, yet fresh, tasty and unique menu items. Many vegetarian options and a few meals with meat in them because I know some people gotta have it with every meal. (((but nothing that is fried!!! ew!))) There will also be baked goods, coffees, tea and salads. There will also be a wine bar and a few great beers to choose from. Atmosphere is very laid back, with some tables low to the ground with pillows and such, and some regular booths and tables. A corner of the restaurant will have a sunken in floor with some toys and kids tables with a little gate around it. Nothing too crazy though. The will be made to make you feel like you are outside, with murals of forests and stuff on the walls and stars and sky painted on the ceiling.
What do you think? Any ideas for improvement? If you would come, why? If not, why not? Thanks!
perhaps i didnt explain it right. people are not going to be DRUNK lol. but i have kids and it ALWAYS drives me nuts going out to eat b/c all they wanna do is run around. and yes, the decorations are busy and maybe you would have to see them inside my head to really get it. its more of like a chill place to hang out… but with food and drink.

Sounds like there is way too much going around. You want to mix a kid friendly environment with beer & wine? Doesn’t sound like a place for me. Where is the locations? Speaking as a business owner myself, location…location…location is the key. I suggest sticking with The deli type beer/wine laid back kinda bistro place idea, but not the toys.
I would come, but I think it would be cool if you made like wood and stuff on the walls, like a cosy coffe house with warm colors. But it is yours….Sounds good though. umm….where is it…..best answer please
The description sounds too busy - too much going on - lots of variety in foods, drinks, and setting. I think you should choose one main idea and go with that. As someone said before, mixing a kid-friendly place with wines/beers sounds like it doesn’t blend well.
I’d come at least once to check it out, but probably wouldn’t come back if it were too busy (too many different items mixed together).
Your menu sounds great, but again, way too many things.
If you prepare the food without hydrogenated oils, then sure!
I understand the possible problem with the kid friendly approach, but what is wrong with a variety on the menu? I love going to restaurants with a wide offering to pick from. I think you’ve got a good idea going.
I don’t think there should be a play area for kids. That would annoy me when I am trying to have dinner. Kids should learn to sit down and eat and not to disturb others in a restaurant. Otherwise it sounds pretty cool. I would check it out.
Sounds great to me. And the restaurant is called…………………
No fries on us!
